The European Rainbow Six Pro League Season XI brought together the best teams in the region to see which squad would be able to survive several intense weeks of matches and withstand the marathon run to the end and take the top spot in the final standings. Rogue was one of the eight teams that competed in Season XI, and to say it was a whirlwind ride for the organization’s very first European split would be an understatement.
Our roster of Maurice “AceeZ” Erkelenz, Theophile “Hicks” Dupont, Lukas “korey” Zwingmann, Jan Philipp “ripz” Hucke, and Valentin “risze” Liradelfo began Season 11 with a match against Chaos EC. An impressive performance led Rogue to a 7-5 victory over Chaos EC and netted them their first win of the latest Rainbow Six Pro League season.
It was a dramatic affair for the second match of the season, as Rogue went back and forth with NaVi that ultimately resulted in a 6-6 tie for both teams in one of the most competitive games of Season XI. A 6-6 would be the story for Rogue for the next two weeks of the season, as the talented squad would finish with ties against both Team Empire and BDS.
Rogue’s fifth match of the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Season XI is where the team was able to show the rest of the community just how dangerous they could be on the server. They were able to secure a dominant 7-1 win over Vitality to obtain their second Pro League win.
A matchup of titans the following week saw Rogue come out on top when they were able to come out ahead in a close matchup with G2 Esports in a nailbiting 7-5 victory.
Another victory followed when the squad was able to take down forZe in a 7-5 win to collect their third win and continue an impressive display of momentum that they had been obtaining heading into the Six Invitational 2020. Unfortunately, this momentum was not enough to keep Rogue from finishing with a 13th-16th place at the high-profile event.
Now, AceeZ, Hicks, korey, ripz, and risze could have let this less than stellar result from the Six Invitational 2020 derail the rest of the European Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Season XI. Their first match following the event was against the newly formed and dubbed superteam of G2 Esports, but Rogue was able to band together and meet the adversity head-on. This high-level of fortitude lead Rogue to grab a 7-5 win against G2 Esports in their next Pro League match and show the rest of the region that they were not going anywhere thanks to a statement win over a truly formidable opponent.
However, forZe gave Rogue a tough match in their outing to the tune of a 6-6 tie in what was a familiar result for the team during this exciting season of Rainbow Six Siege esports.
The team rebounded well in their next match, taking a 7-4 win against BDS, but went on to then suffer a 3-7 loss against NaVi in their next outing for Season 11.
This setback was nothing for the resilient roster, as Rogue was able to rattle off two consecutive 7-3 wins against Vitality and Chaos EC heading into the final week of the season. Unfortunately, the final match of the season would see Team Empire take a 7-5 win over our boys to finish this period of competitive play. However, this loss would not tarnish the excellent season that the boys of Rogue had, which resulted in the squad finishing at the top of the final standings for the European Rainbow Six Pro League Season XI.
A poor finish at the Six Invitational 2020 was not enough to stop the hard-working team of AceeZ, Hicks, korey, ripz, and risze from showing off an awe-inspiring level of perseverance. This unmatched determination allowed them to push past all of the obstacles in their way and cement themselves at the top of Rainbow Six Siege esports when the dust had settled on Season XI of the Pro League.
