New York – September 25, 2019 – Today ReKTGlobal, the global esports and business authority and parent company of pro esports organization Rogue, expands its network into the traditional sports world with latest investor, Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz. Fresh off the esports entity’s announcements of their Call of Duty London franchise team and their multi-year deal with Fortnite legend DrLupo, ReKTGlobal welcomes Gobert, the NBA’s two-time reigning Defensive Player of the Year, to the ownership team. Gobert will join alongside exiting investors including world renowned EDM sensations Steve Aoki and DJ Nicky Romero, the Billboard Award-winning Imagine Dragons, and renowned Latin music producer Tainy.

Standing at 7 ft., 1 in tall, Gobert, who currently plays Center for the Utah Jazz and represents the French national basketball team in international competitions, was a first round NBA draft pick selected 27th overall in 2013. In 2018 and 2019, he won back-to-back NBA Defensive Player of the Year awards, making him one of only ten players in NBA history who have earned the honor at least twice. In 2019, he shattered the single season record for slam dunks with a total of 306.As co-owner, Gobert brings years of personal gaming experience to the table, along with unique insights based on his experience within the traditional sports industry. In his new role, he will support the growth and continued global expansion of ReKTGlobal and Rogue, through strategic integrations and partnerships. He will also co-host livestreams and deliver creative fan content alongside current Rogue players.
